Who we are
Our owner, Stephanie has been a lifelong animal lover. She grew up with both dogs and cats but really started developing her pet care standards when she adopted her dog, Steve, in 2015. At the time, Stephanie was a college kid that didn’t really know anything about dog behavior yet but wrongly assumed an only 4 month old puppy couldn’t have any issues. When she met Steve (then named Dalton) he was already so afraid of the world around him. Stephanie was already in love though so he came home with her. She wasn’t sure how to help a puppy who was afraid of everything new. In order to help Steve feel safe she needed to learn a lot. She was lucky that she had people in her life that directed her towards positive reinforcement training and how to specifically help a fearful dog. Since 2015, Stephanie has continued to strive for the most humane and ethical way to care for Steve with kindness and compassion leading the way. In 2024, she began offering pet care services to others so that more pets and pet parents can experience what she has learned.
We believe it is vital, as a professional pet care provider, to be an expert in both the needs of a species as well as the needs of each individual pet in our care. That learning and knowing the ways in which pets communicate with us is as important as making sure they are healthy and fed. We are always keeping up with best practices and are lifelong students to make sure you and your pet are getting the best care there is.
We service Atlantic Highlands and the surrounding areas. We are fully insured through Pet Care Insurance (PCI), Pet First Aid and CPR Certified through American Red Cross, and background checked through Checkr.
